appear的句法分析

1.appear 意为“看起来……”，做系动词，放在形容词和名称前面。特别是在名词前面，一般用appear to be 结构。

（1）主句+appear(to be)+形容词 ，如：

He appeared very angry.他看起来很生气

（2）主语+appear to be +名词，如：

She appears to be a very religious person 它看起来是一个很虔诚的人

He appears a perfectly normal person.

他看上去完全是个正常的人。

She appeared to be in her late thirties.

看样子她快四十岁了。

They appeared not to know what was happening.

他们似乎不知道正在发生的事。

There appears to have been a mistake.

看来有一个差错。

（3）It appears （unlikely） that从句

It appears unlikely that the UN would consider making such a move

看起来联合国不太可能考虑采取这样一种行动。

It appears unlikely that interest rates will fall further.

看来利率不大会再降低。

It would appear that this was a major problem.

看来这是个主要问题。

It appears that some missiles have been moved

一些导弹似乎已经被移走了。

2.appear也有“出现，呈现”和“到达”等意思，这时作动词使用。

主语（+副词）+appear(+副词/副词词组）

A face suddenly appeared at the window一张脸突然出现在窗户上。

She did her best to appear more self-assured than she felt...

她竭力让自己表现得比实际更自信。

This problem first appeared in the inner cities.

这个问题最初在市区中心出现。

It was too late to prevent the story from appearing in the national newspapers.

要阻止全国性报纸刊登这件事情已为时太晚。

Mary appeared unexpectedly this morning and asked me for some money玛丽今天早上突然来了，向我借些钱。

A woman appeared at the far end of the street...

一个女人远远出现在街的尽头。

3. There appear(s) to be好像有

There appears to be increasing support for the leadership to take a moreaggressive stance

好像有越来越多的人支持领导层采取更为强势的立场。

4. appear to加在某些助动词、be或动词前，表示“似乎、好像”

The aircraft appears to have crashed near Katmandu

飞机似乎在加德满都附近坠毁了。

The opposition appear to have chosen the path of cooperation rather thanconfrontation

反对派似乎已经选择了合作而不是对抗的路线。

Many women achievers appear to pose a threat to their male colleagues

许多事业有成的女性似乎对她们的男同事构成了一种威胁。

The rebels appear to be making hit-and-run guerrilla style attacks on military targets.

叛乱分子似乎是在对军事目标实施打了就跑的游击式攻击。

I appear to have mislaid my jumper.

我好像忘了把套头衫放哪儿了。

Under stress these people will appear to be superficial, over-eager andmanipulative.

这些人在压力下会显得浅薄无知、操之过急，而且爱摆布人。

5. lt appears to me that...

据我看来, 我觉得

lt appears to me that it’s time to go to school.

我觉得该上学的时间已经到了。

It appears to me that she's right.

(依我)看来她是对的.

6. lt begins to appear that ...

看起来似乎

lt begins to appear that he’s the best student in the class.

看起来似乎他是班上最好的学生。
